Event Description:
The United Way of Jasper County is hosting a school supply drive from now until Aug. 19, to help children in need heading back to school. 

The supply drive will culminate at the final summer concert presented by Newton Parks & Recreation on Aug. 19. Volunteers will be at Maytag Park collecting school supply donations during the Faculty Lounge concert which starts at 7 p.m.

A list of suggested donations include crayons, #2 pencils, spiral notebooks, markers, highlighters, scissors, tissues, glue sticks, pencil pouches and three-ring binders. 

Items collected will be distributed to Jasper County schools to help students who are needing supplies for the upcoming school year. 		 school-supplies.jpg
